Welcome to my little corner, where chaos meets creativity, and neurodiversity is celebrated with a lot of experience and a bit of fun. I’m a mom with ADHD, raising two incredible girls who have their own unique blend of ADHD, dyslexia, and dyspraxia. Our household is a whirlwind of boundless energy, creativity, disagreements, misplaced keys, and spontaneous explosions of ideas. I am also an experienced ADHD and autism consultant and coach. My journey is an ongoing mixture of personal and professional experience.
Long learning journey
Growing up, my family was a mystery novel of mental health quirks that never quite fit together—until I stumbled upon the missing piece: undiagnosed neurodiversity. That revelation was like finding the secret recipe to a dish that always tasted a little off. Suddenly, the scattered puzzle pieces of my life started forming a picture. My ADHD brain, once a source of endless frustration, became an endless source of inspiration and, occasionally, amusement.
Credentials
Who knew that my journey through the neurodiverse landscape would lead me to an Autism Master’s degree at a prestigious British university globally renowned in this field and a diploma in ADHD coaching? It’s been a wild ride, working with nearly 100 amazing individuals, both children and adults, each one teaching me something new. I’ve tried countless programs, apps, and strategies—some were brilliant, some were duds, and some were just plain weird (but hey, you never know until you try!).
Life in the Neurodiverse Lane
Life with neurodiversity is like a never-ending treasure hunt. Sure, we lose our keys a lot (okay, a whole lot), but we also find joy in the most unexpected places. We’re the family that turns grocery shopping into a scavenger hunt and sees dinner time as the ultimate storytelling competition. We don’t just think outside the box; we’ve misplaced the box, decorated it with glitter, and turned it into a rocket ship.
Sharing the Love (and the Laughter)
My mission is to share the strategies and approaches that have worked for us—and to spare you from the ones that didn’t. From epic fails to small victories, every step of our journey has been a learning experience. I want this blog to be a toolbox of tips, and a place where you can learn and laugh at the absurdity of it all. Because let’s face it, if you can’t find humour in the chaos, you’re missing out on half the fun.
Welcome to the journey. Let’s make it a fun one!
